Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information ReTouched collects when you visit or buy from our store, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what choices you have. Our online store is hosted by Shopify.

1. Information you give us

When you place an order, create an account, sign up to our email list or contact us, you may give us:

  • your name, email address and phone number;
  • your shipping and billing addresses;
  • payment information, which is collected and processed by our payment providers — we do not receive or store your full card number;
  • the contents of any message, review, photo or video you send us.

2. Information we collect automatically

When you browse the store we automatically receive certain technical information, including your IP address, device and browser type, operating system, referring site, the pages you view, and how long you spend on them. We collect this through cookies, pixels and similar technologies. We refer to this as "device information".

3. Information from other sources

We may receive information about you from our service providers — for example, order and delivery status from our fulfilment and shipping partners, fraud-risk signals from our payment processor, and aggregated advertising performance data from advertising platforms.

4. Why we use it

We use personal information to:

  • process, fulfil and deliver your order, and send order confirmations and shipping updates;
  • handle returns, refunds and customer-service enquiries;
  • screen orders for fraud and protect the security of the store;
  • send marketing emails where you have agreed to receive them;
  • measure and improve how the store and our advertising perform;
  • comply with our legal and tax obligations.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only as needed to run the business:

  • Shopify — hosts our online store and processes order data on our behalf.
  • Payment providers — including Shopify Payments and any wallet you choose (for example Apple Pay, Shop Pay or PayPal), to take payment and screen for fraud.
  • Fulfilment and shipping partners — we use CJ Dropshipping, a fulfilment provider with operations in China, together with the carriers they use. To get a parcel to you, your name, address, phone number and order contents are shared with them. This means your information is transferred outside the United States.
  • Email and analytics providers — to send the emails you have asked for and to understand how the store is used.
  • Advertising platforms — including Meta. We use advertising pixels, and we may share hashed identifiers such as an encrypted version of your email address to measure ad performance and show relevant ads. Under some US state privacy laws this kind of sharing for targeted advertising counts as a "sale" or "share", even though no money changes hands.
  • Legal and professional advisers, and authorities — where we are required by law, or to establish or defend legal claims.

6. Cookies and tracking

Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use ones that are necessary to make the store work (for example, keeping your cart), ones that help us measure traffic, and ones used for advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the store may stop working properly if you block the necessary ones.

Some browsers send a Global Privacy Control or "Do Not Track" signal. Where the law requires us to honour that signal as an opt-out of targeted advertising, we do.

7. Marketing and how to opt out

We only send marketing emails to people who have asked for them. Every one has an unsubscribe link at the bottom, and unsubscribing takes effect straight away. Opting out of marketing does not stop transactional emails such as order confirmations and shipping notifications, because those are part of fulfilling your order.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • know what personal information we hold about you and get a copy of it;
  • have inaccurate information corrected;
  • have your information deleted;
  • opt out of targeted advertising, or of the "sale" or "sharing" of your information;
  • not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you also have the right to object to or restrict certain processing, the right to data portability, and the right to complain to your local data protection authority. Our lawful bases for processing are performance of a contract (to fulfil your order), our legitimate interests (to run and improve the business and prevent fraud), your consent (for marketing and non-essential cookies), and compliance with legal obligations.

To exercise any of these rights, email support@retouched.store. We may need to verify your identity before we act, and we will respond within the period the applicable law allows. You may use an authorised agent where the law permits.

9. How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as we need them to run the business and to meet our tax, accounting and legal obligations — generally several years. Marketing contact details are kept until you unsubscribe. Enquiries sent through the contact form are kept for as long as needed to resolve them and for a reasonable period afterwards.

10. Security

We use industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit, to protect personal information, and we work with providers who do the same. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. International transfers

Because our fulfilment partner and some of our service providers operate outside the United States, your information may be processed in countries whose data protection laws differ from those where you live. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, for those transfers.

12. Children

The store is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us their information, contact us and we will delete it.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes to our practices or to the law. The version on this page is the current one. Material changes will be flagged on the store.
